Remote
Access to Devices
There have been some enquiries
about the possibility of remote control with the K108 and K145
software (ie: connecting over a network, or over the
Internet). This is planned for future versions.
In the meantime, there are other
options...
- In WinXp or Vista, you can use the Remote Desktop function to control a distant computer.
- There are other remote access solutions as well, some
free, some commercial:
Real VNC, Remote Desktop
Control, LogMeIn Free, TeamViewer, etc
- You can also go the hardware route: there is a device called a serial-to-Lan
(or serial to
Ethernet) adapter. This is like a serial-to-usb adapter, but for networking instead.
Here's one example:

Note: if
the link doesn't work, go to www.jdr.com
and search on
"Lava Ether-Serial Links"
